Hanuman Ansh, the Bollywood devotional drama that emerged as a blockbuster hit in Hindi, is officially set to release in Telugu. Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the Hanuman Ansh Telugu version has locked its release date after weeks of uncertainty and distribution changes.
Following its remarkable box office run in Hindi where it collected over ₹263 Cr in just 38 days, the film’s Telugu release was planned but underwent several changes. The project eventually moved to a different distribution house after initial postponement due to censor issues. An official announcement has now ended the uncertainty.
Hombale Films Confirms October 9 Release
Hombale Films, the Kannada production and distribution giant behind blockbusters like KGF and Salaar, has officially announced the Telugu release of Hanuman Ansh. The film will hit Telugu screens on October 9, 2026.
This comes as welcome news for Telugu audiences who have been waiting to watch the devotional drama that became one of Hindi cinema’s biggest surprise successes this year. The film’s unexpected box office performance, crossing the ₹250 Cr milestone despite its modest budget, has created significant anticipation for its regional releases.
Direct Clash with Trivikram’s Adarsha Kutumbam
The Hanuman Ansh Telugu release will directly clash with Trivikram Srinivas‘ directorial Adarsha Kutumbam, which is also scheduled to arrive in theatres on October 9.
Interestingly, Trivikram‘s distribution banner was initially expected to handle the Telugu release of Hanuman Ansh. However, after he stepped away from the project, the distribution rights eventually moved to Hombale Films. The clash now pits the devotional drama against Trivikram’s own directorial venture.
About Hanuman Ansh
Hanuman Ansh features Shobina Satya in the lead role, with Anupriya, Ragini, and Namrata Singh associated with the production. The film delivered exceptional returns in Hindi despite its limited initial release, eventually expanding across India due to strong word-of-mouth.
It remains to be seen whether the devotional drama can recreate its Hindi box office success in the Telugu states, especially with the release clash against a Trivikram directorial.
